Album Info:I spent a day exploring the area around Barree, PA on foot. I used a trailhead parking area in Rothrock State Forest that’s well-situated for fishermen and paddlers along the Little Juniata River. The railroad is Norfolk Southern’s busy Pittsburgh line / formerly the Pennsylvania Railroad’s Middle Division. I had the good fortune to see nineteen different trains during the 7 hours I was tramping around in the gorge. Spring foliage is filling out, and the weather was beautiful.
