Title:  SLSF 2-8-0 #1245 - St Louis - San Francisco
Description:  Great photo of Frisco 2-8-0 #1245 in mid-life service. Built by Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin predecessor) in October of 1907, it led a good life. The loco was rebuilt in 1930 with a new superheater and piston valves. Unfortunately after nearly 45 years of service, the loco was sold for scrap in January of 1952 like many in the class 1226. Specs - class 1226, oil burner, 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 22x30" cylinders, engine weight of 207,000 lb, tractive effort of 43,300 lb. Arthur B. Johnson photo

Description:  Here is a good looking Frisco 2-8-0 Consolidation #1229 in its prime service during the late 1930's. Built by Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin predecessor) in October of 1907 (serial #31962, it was one of the earliest class 1226 Consolidations to be scrapped - in June of 1946 at West Tulsa, OK. Description:  With its days already numbered, this 1907 Burnham, Wms & Co 2-8-0 Consolidation #1250 still looks in fairly good shape. The loco had a superheater and piston valves added during a rebuild in 1930. It was last listed on the diagram book in 3/1/1947 until disappearing sometime after - presumedly scrapped like the rest of the class 1226. Built by Burnham, Wms & Co in October of 1907, the loco was rebuilt in 1930 and had a superheater and piston valves added. As late as 1948, it was working the mines around Clinton (state?). The loco finally met up with the scrapper's torch in January of 1952. Description:  Parked in a scrap line is Frisco 2-8-0 #1232. Note it has already lost its headlight but the bell is still in place. Built by Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin predecessor) in October of 1907, the loco remained on the Frisco diagram book through 3/1/1947 before disappearing - assumed scrapped not long after this photo was taken by Arthur B. Johnson. I would imagine this was the last photo ever taken of it.
