Description:
ANADARKO OK June 27 1979 -- The crew of this lashup with Rock Island 4543 in front has tied down the engines and gone to lunch. EMD built the unit (s/n 17615) as CRIP 1284 in December 1952. After being rebuilt as a GP7r on Oct 27 1976 it was renumbered CRIP 4543. It was acquired by Chicago & North Western on June 17 1981 and was renumbered CNW 4197. It was retired on Feb 21 1997 and sold for scrap to Larrys Truck and Electric and arrived there on April 7 1998.
