Description:
Classic winter action shot of 1908 Baldwin Pacific heading up a varnish in the dead of winter. Delivered with Stephenson link motion actuating inside slide valves, K1s were soon rebuilt with Baker gear and Schmidt superheaters. Specs - class K-1, 74" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 22.5x26" cylinders, engine weight of 230,500 lb, tractive effort of 30,238 lb.
