Description:  DMP-2. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Lima, Ohio, in May of 1968. Shown here (L to R) is Penn Central engine #4265 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are E8A's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. #4265 was built as Pennsylvania Railroad number "5765" in March of 1952 and renumbered "4265" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. Photo Caption: "EMD E-8A #4274, 2250-hp, at East St. Louis, Mo." Shown here (R to L) are Penn Central Railroad engines #4274 and #4314. Both are E-8's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #4274 was built as PRR number "5704" in September of 1952, while #4314 was built as PRR number "5714" in November of 1952. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-47).
