CN 2-8-0 #2690 - Canadian National |
Description: |
Long before a diesel carried the CN #2690, this 2-8-0 Consolidation had the honor. Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works (Alco) in August of 1911 as Grand Trunk Pacific (GTP) #813, it was renumbered in 1919 to CN #2690 after the railroad mergers. After nearly 49 years of service, it was scrapped in May of 1960. This is a Ray Deshenes photo. No date or location was given for the photo. |

Baltimore & Ohio 2-8-0 #2692 |
Description: |
Ralph G. Dunn captured the sad scene of this once proud loco. Drivers removed, boiler plate gone, bell, whistle and external tubes all pulled from its body, leaving a sad shell. Unfortunately, no date or location were given so arbitrary ones were set. Number 2692 was rebuilt in 1941 to 0-8-0 713 at Cumberland, renumbered to 1635 in 1954, renumbered again in 1956 to 849, scrapped in 1959. |

Title: |
Baltimore & Ohio 2-8-0 #3103, ex-B&S 126 |
Description: |
Original built in 1905 for the Buffalo & Susquehanna division of B&O, the group carried numbers between 123-166. 43 survivors were renumbered to 3100-42. They had 51" drivers and a boiler pressure of 200 psi. Like several photos in this album, this one had no location or date given so arbitrary ones were assigned. |

BO 2-8-0 3109 - Baltimore & Ohio RR |
Description: |
This was labeled "B&O Train #79" on the back of the photo. Actual date is unknown. Original photo obviously came from a Kodak booklet printing common in the late 1940's into the 1950's. |

BO 3133 |
Description: |
Judging by the hillside in the background and the direction of the locomotive, I would assume that 3133 is awaiting it's next assignment on train #87 |
