Southbound on the ex-NYC Big Four Route past the beautiful station at Galion.Passenger service ended in the 60's and the station was closed in 1969. The station looked empty when I was here but good things would happen. A few years ago the city bought the station and restored it. Unfortunately I have heard of money troubles in Galion and the station future is clouded. Built in 1900 it was division headquarters for the Cleveland, Chicago, Cincinnati & St. Louis Railroad. |
