| At 4:15 on a November afternoon Missouri Pacific train HNS -- from Houston to New Orleans to the Southeern Railway -- was stopped at Waggaman, awaiting permission to enter the MP's Avondale Yard. The train had three of the Southern's newest locomtives: GP50's 7042, 7046 and 7086. The track in the foreground was the Southern Pacific's SUNSET ROUTE. |
