Portugal - CP 5614
Sorefame constructed all locomotive bodies, 28 sets of bogies (except those for the first two) and did the assembly work. Thefirst four bogies came from Germany, same for all axles and electrical equipment. Siemens Portugal was responsible for the transformers for example. Delivery of the batch took place in 1993-1995. All machines are property of Comboios de Portugal. Since April 2007, the LE 5600 series are able to reach for speeds up to 200 kph in regular service. 5601-5610 got transferred from freight services (CP Carga) to long distance passenger services (CP Longo Curso) and are now used for commercial operations onthe 200 kph Lisboa – Porto route.
