Built by Alco-Schenectady in October of 1929, CRIP 4-8-4 #5022 was used in both freight and passenger service, especially after receiving upgraded 74" drivers in a late 1930's rebuild. The loco lasted unti being sold for scrap in February of 1953. Specs - 69" drivers, impressive 250 psi boiler pressure, 26x32" cylinders, engine weight of 434,000 lb and tractive effort of 66,620 lb. .
