CRIP 4-8-4 #5029 - Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific         
This loco was part of an intial 65 units built by Alco-Schenectady in 1929-1930. CRIP 4-8-4 Northern type steam #5029 was useful in both freight and passenger service, expecially after receiving 74" drivers in late 1930's. After nearly 22 years of service, the loco was sold for scrap in October of 1952. Specs - 69" drivers, impressive 250 psi boiler pressure, 26x32" cylinders, engine weight of 434,000 lb and tractive effort of 66,620 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo.
