Number 1517 was built as an FP7A by GMD for the Ontario Northland Railway about August 1953 (c/n A528 on order C166). VIA had 96 RDC's in five Budd configurations which came from both CP and CN. It appears that 6225 was built in March 1957 (c/n 6701) as an RDC3 for the Canadian National, delivered as road number D351, renumbered to CN 6351, conveyed to VIA in 1978, retired at an unknown date and went to CAD Railway Services (Lachine, QC) in 2000.
