Holcim Switcher Awaiting its Fate  Contributor's Pick!
The Holcim Company closed its Clarksville MO plant (at a siding cflled Dundee for years by the railroad, based on the original cement company's name-even if the town with that place name is south of the Missouri River in Franklin County), The plant had at least three switchers; an SW1, GNAX1, is now in Colorado and a centercab GE seems to be missing. The newer EMD switcher still sits in the plant awaiting>its fate with no number or reporting marks visible. It's supposed to be the'former Waterloo RR no2, an SW900 buillt in 1957 that reportedly arrived here in 1983. It's receiqed a new prime mover along the way- presumably a Cummins of some variety.

Tim Steeves General This looks more to be an ex-LV SW8 because of the hood contour at the cab. http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2753848 5/9/2020 4:53:36 PM
