We’ll start with this DICCS map from 1965. Service to Pfaudler was most visible at the front of the plant on West Ave. (the K-52-1 location). I’m not sure what the track agreements were at any given time, but both the NYC and the B&O (Chessie) served this spur. The back of the plant was mostly inaccessible to the public. I’m not sure what railroad(s) served the various leads (NYC, B&O, PRR?) back there – I never saw anything and obviously never got a photograph. Nothing remains today except weeds and a couple of tracks buried in the pavement behind the plant (visible with any bird's eye map view). |
