Winifrede Railroad #13 is an EMD SW1500, painted black with yellow lettering. It has standard AAR Type A switcher trucks and solid ("friction") bearings on the axles. The "C" logo on the cab side had several colors but I don't remember what they were or if there was another graphic on the inside of the "C"--that could have been a diamond, for example. I took this picture on a warm summer afternoon in 1979 but I don't recall the exact date. The Kanawha River is about a mile to the north, or behind the cars. |
