| This view shows the fireman's/brakeman's side of WNFR, ex-WRR 13, as the unit leads a string of empty hoppers south from Winifrede Junction, WV. Date is uncertain but it was in 1979. Note the recessed port for the sand box, near the front of the unit, and the recessed ratchet-style handbrake. The three horns are centered on the front of the cab. I don't remember what kind of sound or "chime" these horns made. |
