One-year-old Kansas City Southern SW7 number 1302 was about to cross South Liberty Street in New Orleans, on its way into the railroad's passenger Station at 701 South Rampart Street. The building in the background was KCS Warehouse No. 1. It was previously lettered LOUISIANA & ARKANSAS and originally LOUISIANA RAILWAY & NAVIGATION Co. It survived another 15 years until it was razed for the construction of the LOUISIANA SUPERDOME. (approximate date) |
