Here are two photos that were published originally in the August 1950 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 8. Partial Caption: "In these photos, Pennsylvania Railroad transfer diesel No. 5671 looks like a tuna fish before and after a shark found it." #5671 is an LS-25 built by Lima-Hamilton in May of 1950, rated at 2,500 horsepower, and retired in May of 1965 after just 15 years of revenue service. |
