RDG 4-6-0C #601 - Philadelphia & Reading         
This is the original sepia colored photo of Philadelphia & Reading (RDG) 4-6-0C #601 built by Baldwin in June of 1903 (serial #22277). The loco was rebuilt in 1905 and again between 1917-22 as a camelback. After serving for 43 years, the loco was retired and scrapped in July of 1946. Original specs - L5-a class, 68.5" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 22x28" cylinders, engine weight of 167,000 lb, tractive effort of 33,633 lb. R.P. Morris photo
