SLSF 2-8-0 #1217 - St Louis - San Francisco         
Obviously the scrapper's torch has been at work on this once proud Frisco Consolidation. Built by Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin predecessor) in March of 1907, it served the Frisco and its subsidiearies for nearly 42 years before ending up like this. Specs - coal burner, 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 22x30" cylinders, engine weight of 198,000 lb, tractive effort of 43,300 lb. Arthur B. Johnson photo
