Built by Alco-Brooks in April of 1906 originally as CIL #257, it was renumbered CIL #271 in 1911. The loco was retired in June of 1940 after 34 years of service and eventually scrapped. Specs -serial #40108, class H-5, 57" drivers, 190 psi boiler pressure, 22x28" cylinders, engine weight of 202,000 lb, tractive effort of 38,400 lb. No exact day in September of 1935 was given.
