Tom Beckett General The NYSW had some really cool power consists in that era. There were still enough fully lettered BN units that you could shoot a train in some places and it could look like it was in Montana, judging by the power. Here, you're actually in Kirkwood, shooting from the Kirkwood-Conklin connector, looking east. The Frito Lay plant is behind you. Across the bridge is East Binghamton, still Guilford at that time. It's a good bet this train will wind up over there for a crew change, since CR wouldn't let NYSW/D&H change crews on their track. That's SLN 5, which was called NTV 9 on Conrail.
