Description:
Built by either Baldwin or Alco-Schenectady during a 7 year period between 1901-07, this was an example of an R-1 class Ten-Wheeler type locomotive. It had 63" drivers and could develop 200 psi boiler pressure for its 21"x26" cylinders. The engine weight was a modest 179,500 lb and it could produce a 30,940 lb tractive effort.
