One main line that my Dad and I had always wanted to try to get out to is the former Pennsy Fort Wayne Line. Now owned by NS, it is the last active NS main line that still has a majority of the former position light signals still standing. However, the line sees very little traffic. Despite that, we decided to try our luck on a few of the local trains which usually run at pretty consistent times. We would follow the C03 west to Orrville, then catch the C67 from Massillon in Orrville as well, and grab whatever else NS would send our way. We got an early start to the day, and with signs of the C03 still not yet on duty, we decided to pull off at Crestline when we heard M331 mark up with ID Dispatch to continue west with a fresh crew aboard. A maintenance crew was welding a section of rail right where I was wanting to park and walk back to the signals, so we had to try to find another option to grab the train coming by the trilights. A dead end road just down from there in a small neighborhood allowed us to do just that. M331 cruises through CP 75 as the MOW crew continues working on their spot weld.
